Quality Management Policy

The company’s Quality Policy and Food Safety A. AFOI PITENI AVEE ., constitutes the company’s pursued goal and the specific responsibilities of the management that derive from it.

The company’s goal is to produce safe products that comply with the Quality Management Systems and Food Safety, ISO 22000. The company guarantees the quality, authenticity, and safety of its produced products to provide absolute safety to the end recipient, customer service, so that their requirements are fully met while complying with current legislation.

The company, through its quality policy, is committed to adhering to the following:

  • The production of products is in accordance with the Provisions, Regulations, and Standards that concern them and are suitable for their intended use.
  • The guiding principle is the quality of products, which must be provided to the customer at all specification levels through controlled and properly designed procedures.
  • Satisfaction of bilaterally agreed customer safety requirements. Maintaining effective communication with suppliers, customers, and relevant control authorities to ensure adequate information regarding food safety.
  • Selection of suppliers with strict specifications and criteria as well as continuous monitoring.
  • Staffing the company with responsible and knowledgeable personnel, who fully respond to their important role in ensuring the production of safe food, as well as in their behavior, to avoid racial, religious, or other discriminations that cause inequalities.
  • Continuous investment by the company in training, education, and quality of its personnel with the ultimate goal of creating a culture for product safety.
  • Implementation of HACCP System as required by European Regulation 852/2004, and in accordance with the requirements of International Standards ISO 22000:2018, IFS.
  • Provision of necessary financial resources and means for the installation and operation of the system.
  • Continuous monitoring of the HACCP system and validation of its effectiveness.
  • Continuous improvement of the HACCP system to meet increasing customer needs and new legislative requirements.
  • Continuous monitoring of legislation and compliance with it, for respect and protection of the environment.
  • Continuous improvement of product quality through the application of new technologies, training – education, and implementation of management practices.

All company personnel are responsible for managing the quality and safety of the company’s produced products and are committed to simultaneous actions for a continuous effort, which concerns the improvement of all provided products and services, always setting a specific timeline and goals that can be implemented and evaluated with specific measurable specifications.

The communication of the Quality and Food Safety Policy to all company personnel is part of the entire process and is mentioned at every opportunity related to food safety issues.

The Managing Director and all Department Heads are responsible for implementing quality systems and must be certain that the staff is aware of the requirements of these systems and their obligations arising from them.
